MD Garage: "Sports cars are not a job. They are a passion." For more than two decades Marcel Donati's workshop in Gontenschwil has been caring for Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Maseratis, Porsches, classic cars and historic racing cars, from the black F40 to the Diablo SV, with the care a masterpiece deserves.

Anyone who owns a Ferrari F40 or a Lamborghini Miura is not looking for a garage but for a person to entrust it to. Brand dealerships offer glass, marble and coffee; MD Garage offers two decades of experience with exactly these cars. A web presence that looks like a car dealership would say the opposite of what the business is. In 2026 Orbit therefore designs a bilingual site, as calm and precise as the work on the shop floor: who works here, what the workshop can do, which cars pass through its hands, and an appointment request. Plus an admin area the business uses to update everything itself, in German and English.

• Home, about us, services, gallery, contact • German and English • Appointment request including the vehicle • Gallery with filter • Archive look on a paper-toned background • Admin area for gallery and texts • Backup as a single file • Built for the phone

A workshop, not a dealership

The home page begins with a sentence, not a price list. The design picks up that tone: heavy type on a paper-toned background, photos numbered as in an archive and a stamp reading "Officina MD, dal 2000". A ticker names the makes the workshop works with, from Alfa Romeo to Rolls-Royce, and below it the story is told in three years: 1989, the first Ferrari experience; 2000, a garage of its own; 2019, the family business. In between, one line in italics: "Your sports car is our passion, your trust our drive."

Where we feel at home

The services are organised by specialities rather than as a catalogue: Ferrari service with timing belt change, Lamborghini from the Miura to the Murciélago, overhauls of engine, cylinder head and gearbox, carburettors from cleaning to tuning, classic cars of every make and looking after historic racing cars. Below are three promises, honest advice, efficient work and fair terms, and behind them everything you expect of a workshop, from MFK inspection preparation to restoration.

What passes through our hands

The gallery shows vehicles from the workshop in three categories, sports cars, classics and motorcycles, with a filter and an enlarged view: Ferrari F40 and 512 TR, Lamborghini Miura, Countach and Diablo SV, a Mercedes 300 SL. Anyone wanting an appointment gives the vehicle and what it needs straight away, along with name and phone number, and the contact page puts it plainly: "Let's talk about your car."

An admin area that only does what is needed

Behind the site is an admin area with four sections. Under Gallery are the vehicles with photo, name, category and note, sortable with two arrows. Under Texts, every text on the website can be edited per language, and edited fields can be reset to the original with one click. Under Business are the address, phone and opening hours, and under Data the entire content can be backed up as a single file and restored. No workshop planning, no invoices, no parts management: a tool nobody uses only costs maintenance.

From hobby to life's work

The About us page tells the story from hobby to profession: the apprenticeship as a car mechanic, the world of Ferrari from 1989, a garage of his own in Oberkulm in 2000, the move to Gontenschwil in 2008, and since 2019 working with his son Dominic. Dominic runs his own motorcycle workshop, DD Moto, under the same roof, and the two sites link to each other.

A site that can wait

MD Garage has not yet decided on the new site, and that is understandable: for these customers the work on the cars is what counts, and a website can wait until the time is right. The design is complete, in German and English, and as patient as a Miura waiting for its next drive.
