Share: send and receive files, confirm appointments, welcome guests, with links that expire and can be taken back.

Anyone who works with clients sends things back and forth all the time: plans, photos, contracts, the invitation to the next meeting. Often the nearest transfer service gets the job, and afterwards the files sit on someone else’s servers, the links stay open longer than they should, and nobody in the business knows any more what went where. Orbit wanted a door to the outside that belongs to its own house: links with an expiry date that can be withdrawn at any time, uploads that land straight in the right project, and invitations that can be answered without an account. Share is that door. Orbit built it itself, and every client account comes with it.

• Links for one file or whole collections • Expiry date and withdrawal • Uploads straight into the project • Replies to invitations without an account • Video rooms for guests • Links limited to chosen companies • Every link on record • One sign-in for everything

A link with an expiry date

A download link names a single file or a collection of up to 200 files, with a title. It is valid for one hour, one day, seven or thirty days, and can be withdrawn at any time; after that it opens nothing. Whoever receives it needs no account and sees exactly what the link names. A link can also be limited to one or more companies: then it opens only after sign-in, for the people of those companies.

What a recipient sees: the name of the collection, how long it is still valid, the files and a button to download them.

Uploads land in the right project

The other direction matters just as much: clients send photos, plans and documents. With Share they upload them with their own sign-in: they pick the project themselves or open an upload link made for exactly one project. The files land in the company’s documents, assigned to the project, and the team sees in its top bar right away that something has arrived.

Invitations that are easy to answer

Appointments from Orbit’s calendar travel with a link. Whoever is invited accepts, declines or answers maybe without creating an account, and the answer then shows up with the appointment. For a video meeting, a second link leads into the room: guests join with camera and sound and can write alongside. A room link is valid for one day.

All links in one place

In Trajectory, Orbit’s cockpit, the links sit in one list: kind and title, how long they remain valid and what has come in through them. From there every link can be copied again, opened or withdrawn, without anyone having to dig up the original message.

What goes out stays traceable

Creating, opening, downloading, uploading and withdrawing are recorded as events. Outside the Orbit team, every person sees only their own company’s links, and the files stay where they belong: in the company’s storage at Orbit, on Orbit’s own servers in Switzerland; Share keeps no copies. Whoever opens a link sees the sender, the files with name and size and how long the link remains valid, nothing else.

A door that belongs to the house

Share runs at Orbit for its own work and for every client, at share.orbit.zuerich. Clients upload into their projects there with their account; the team creates the links. The idea behind it is simple: what a business hands out, it should be able to take back.

Was ein Envoy tut.

Ein Envoy kennt Menschen mit einem Problem, das Software lösen kann, und bringt sie mit uns zusammen. Mehr nicht: kein Verkauf, keine Technik, keine Verträge.
